Pelikan Special Edition Souveran M800 Demonstrator with Kanji Engraving Fountain Pen

After the last launch of the Special Edition M800 Demonstrator in 2008 and the M805 version in 2015, Pelikan released a limited edition etched M800 demonstrators in the year 2020. Each pen bears etchings in Chinese which labels the various components in the same way as its predecessors.

The eight items engraved on the barrel are:

導墨器 – Ink guide
儲墨槽 – Ink reservoir
活塞 – Piston head
旋軸 – Spindle
制止間 – Twist stopper
連接器 – Connector
旋軸導桿 – Spindle nut
旋鈕 – Grip

The demonstrator fountain pen has a long history. It was first employed at sales counters in order to explain the inner workings and mysteries of pen technology to the lay customer. A completely transparent product showong how the piston mechanism works and soon became a huge success. Especially technically interested people are fascinated to see how the barrel fills with ink.
