Pelikan Limited Edition Souveran M800 Royal Gold Raden Maki-e Fountain Pen

Pelikan's 2017 Limited Edition Souveran M800 Royal Gold Raden Maki-e Fountain Pen is handcrafted by using centuries old Japanese Raden and Maki-e techniques. Black urushi lacquer with layers of 14k gold foil and mother of pearl with translucent suki-urushi are hand-applied over a period of months to produce the unique striped appearance. A protective coating of lacquer is then applied to seal the artistry of this design. The pen is individually numbered and signed by the Maki-e artisan. It is fitted with an 18K two-tone gold nib and presented in a traditional Japanese gift box.Limited to only 388 pieces.
