Pelikan Limited Edition Maki-e Fireworks Fountain Pen

Fireworks have been a popular enjoyment for Summer in Japan.The major firework display is over 20,000 fireworks.
Most of the fireworks from Japan and China explode into circular form. The one which each spark leaves a trail behind are
called Kiku-mono or the Chrysanthemum type.  The ones which does not leaves trails behind are called Botan-mono or the
Peony type.
The firework shells are in different sizes ranging from 6.06cm to 120cm in diameter. A 60cm in diameter can explode to
form a firework of approx. 500m in diameter. and a 120cm can explodes to form a firework as large as 800m.
The Pelikan maki-e Fireworks fountain pen takes the theme of fireworks and employs mother of pearl work, cut-gold work
and other techniques to vividly recreate this traditional pleasure for the eyes.
It is limited to 88 pieces worldwide with the artist's signature drawn in by hand using the maki-e technique.
