Pelikan Limited Edition M101N Lizard Jubilee 175 Years Fountain Pen
To celebrate the 175th anniversary of the company, Pelikan has released the M101N Lizard in the Jubilee version. This pen is limited to 238 individually numbered pieces worldwide.
The M101N Jubilee Pen is based on the original shape of the 101N Lizard from 1937 and is entirely made in Germany, combining tradition and modern technology to ensure a quality pen with rich heritage. The lizard pattern on the pen is achieved using cellulose acetate, proceeding through many production steps until the material is correctly formed, then it is polished. As a result, each piece is unique.
Three high quality diamonds adorn the cap of this pen. Their color is Top Wesselton and the clarity is rated VS. Due to the Brilliant cut, the diamonds get their special sparkle. The larger diamond has a weight of 0.004 carats, and the two smaller diamonds each have 0.003 carats. Surrounded by sterling silver. The quality of diamonds is defined by the well-known "4C"-criteria: color, clarity, cut, and carat (weight). Sterling silver is used for the gripping section, cap dome, and blind cap on this pen, as well as for the rings. A special coating proceedure ensures that these parts will retain their shiny lustre for years to come.
Durable cellulose acetate, a by-product of raw cotton, is used for the pen body. Pelikan's famed piston-fill system allows the use of any bottled fountain pen ink.
18k gold rhodium-plated nib is hand-made in Pelikan's production facility near Hannover, Germany. Nineteen steps are required in the production process for each nib.
