Sailor Limited Edition King of Pens (KOP) Ukiyo-e Tominomori Sukeemon-Masakata Maki-e Fountain Pen
Discover the Sailor 1911 King of Pens Ukiyo-e Tominomori Sukeemon-Masakata Fountain Pen, a masterful blend of Japanese artistry and craftsmanship. This limited-edition creation from Sailor’s esteemed King of Pens series honors the legendary samurai Tominomori Sukeemon-Masakata, a key figure in the historic Ako Incident. Inspired by Utagawa Kuniyoshi’s ukiyo-e woodblock print, its design captures the timeless spirit of Edo-period artistry.
Inspired by the renowned Ukiyo-e masterpiece of Utagawa Kuniyoshi, this stunning pen features maki-e artwork depicting Tominomori Sukeemon-Masakata, one of the revered 47 Ako-Roshi samurai. The Ako-Roshi samurai were the main figures in the famous Ako Incident, known as Chushingura (The Treasury of Loyal Retainers).
They remain deeply embedded in Japanese culture as symbols of loyalty and bravery, and Tominomori Sukeemon-Masakata is recognized as one of them.
