Montegrappa Special Edition Vatican 2000 Papal Gold Fountain Pen
The Papal Pen is a fountain pen of unique charm and a symbolic representation of the past two millennia, this limited edition uses fine engravings to celebrate the calendar leading to the year 2000. The body and cap are manufactured in sterling silver or in 18K gold, and tastefully engraved with a burin. Through these images, hand chiselled on noble metals, the body of the pen tells of the values and the foundations of the Church. The Holy Trinity is depicted on the body of the pen, surrounded by a multitude of angels and, on the central part of the cap, an exclusive image of Pope John Paul II in front of the Holy Door during the opening ceremony of the Jubilee of the year 2000. Every piece of the collection bears, on the lower part of the cap, the signature of Holy Father JOANNES PAULUS II and the seal of the Jubilee. A light rotation of the cap reveals the unmistakable outline of St. Peter?s Cathedral. Available in four prestigious versions, sterling silver, yellow gold, pink gold and white gold, all in 18 carat, the Papal Pen is manufactured combining the latest technology with the most antique tradesman?s techniques. It features a bi-coloured platinum coated 18K gold nib with an iridium tip in four sizes. The Vatican symbol, St. Peter?s keys, are finely engraved on the nib.
