Sparta was a prominent city-state in ancient Greece which was known as Lacedaemon (during the period of classical and other human civilizations before the Middle Ages. 

It rose to become the dominant military land-power in ancient Greece around 650 BC by focusing all social institutions on military training and physical development. Sparta was recognized as the leading force of the unified Greek military during the Greco-Persian Wars. Sparta was the principal enemy of Athens during the Peloponnesian War. The defeat by Thebes in the Battle of Leuctra in 371 BC ended Sparta's prominent role.

Matt,sand-blasted, ruthenium coated metal barrel with milled pattern and adorned with seven rough diamonds expressing Greek values of pride, perseverance and diginity. Ruthenium oated highly polished metal parts. Spring-loaded clip based on the shape of the Greek ridge helmet End cap with lacquered inlay features the lambda character which was emblazoned on the Spartan warriors' shields as a symbol of solidarity. 

The Plunger-type Fountain Pen is limited to 310 pieces and comes with a handmade 18-carat gold nib with ruthenium- coated. Each pen is individually numbered and comes in a black, highly polished wooden box with brochure and certificate of authenticity
