Platinum Limited Edition Hayakawa Silver Plated Pencil

Platinum Limited Edition Hayakawa Silver Plated Pencil

Platinum Pen introduces a reproduction of the Hayakawa Mechanical Pencil, originally created by Tokuji Hayakawa in 1915, the founder of Sharp Corporation. Hayakawa, leveraging his early apprenticeship in decorative metalworking, crafted 15 mechanical pencils adorned with intricate designs on their exterior. These original pencils are now preserved at the Sharp Technology Innovation Museum in Tenri City, Nara Prefecture.
Platinum Pen’s version closely mirrors one of these historical models.

The barrel features intricate patterns, meticulously engraved using the engine-turning technique.
Crafted with a silver-plated brass body and silver-plated iron clip. this pencil uses 0.5 mm lead and is a limited edition.

The product comes in a paulownia box exclusively produced for Hayawaka Mechanical Pencil. Airtight, mothproof and humidity-controlled paulownia wood boxes are suitable for long tern storage of writing instruments. Limited to 3000 pieces worldwide.
