Pilot Kawarinuri Urushi Ishime Green Fountain Pen

Kawarinuri (Singular lacquering) is a technique, in which various materials are used on the top lacquer layer and a special painting is used.
Ishime (Pavement pattern) uses dry lacquer powder, in which a fine pavement stone pattern is created.

Kawarinuri is a new crafting technique from Pilot.Stone wall textured urushi are coated on the brass flat-top barrel,which gives a rough feeling on hands. the hardness and durability of Urushi also makes it an excellent protective coating for the pen.
 Urushi is one super rare lacquer. The amount of sap collected from each Urushi tree is only around 250 milliliters per year, which makes the number of fountain pens with real Urushi also very limited and precious.
