Omas Limited Edition Michelangelo Fountain Pen
The Omas Michelangelo Anniversary Limited Edition fountain pen honours one of the greatest men of all time, Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564), commonly known as Michelangelo. He was an Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer.
This limited edition pen has a cap, handcrafted from Carrara Marble used by Michelangelo for his extraordinary sculptures. The cap is extra long and once opened it reveils the art underneath of the three rings, a symbol of the Accademia del Disegno in Florence and a detail famous sculpture of Moses.
This "Uomo Universale in Italian" describe great thinkers of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment who excelled at several fields in science and the arts, which can also be found on the top of the pen, completely hand decorated in silver and Michelangelo's portrait can be found on top of the cap.
The 18 karat gold nib of the piston filled fountain pen has an image of the floor of Campidoglio Square in Rome.
Only 400 fountain pens and 50 rollerballs were made.
