Nakaya Piccolo Writer Carbon Graphite. Following the hugely popular Piccolo Titanium, Nakaya has introduced the Piccolo Writer Carbon Graphite fountain pen to its collection of pens made with special materials. This is a sleek, modern writing instrument with a dark grey finish and tapered conical cap. To make this pen, pure carbon is first solidifed at 50,000 tons, and is then calcified for ninety days at 3,000 degrees Celsius until carbon graphite is formed. This material is lighter than aluminum and the pen itself weighs only 28.9 grams.
