IKKAKU by Nahvalur Ye-Yu (夜羽) Urushi Raden Fountain Pen

Marks the beginning of Nahvalur's prestigious IKKAKU collection, where traditional Japanese craftsmanship meets contemporary fountain pen design. Named Ye-Yu (夜羽), meaning Nightly Feathers, the pen draws inspiration from the graceful silhouette of a nightingale, capturing the quiet elegance and mystery of feathers illuminated beneath the evening sky.

Each Ye-Yu is meticulously handcrafted using multiple layers of natural black urushi lacquer, creating a finish of remarkable depth and richness. Delicately inlaid raden (mother-of-pearl) shimmers across the surface, forming feather-like patterns that reveal vibrant flashes of blue, green, and violet as they catch the light. The interplay between the deep black lacquer and luminous raden evokes the beauty of moonlight dancing across the wings of a bird in flight.

Elegant gold-plated appointments perfectly complement the luxurious finish, while the in-house 14K gold nib delivers a smooth, refined writing experience with excellent balance and responsiveness.
