Walter Elias Disney ( December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry and intruduced several developments in the production of cartoons. Walter Disney holds the record for most Academy Awards earned by an individual. He had won 22 Oscars from 59 nominations and was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honors. 

Montblanc 2019 Special Edition Great Characters Walt Disney Pen pays homage to the the cultural legacy of Walt Disney. The cap and barrel in matte black was made from precious resin feature several hidden Mickeys and the signature of Walt Disney can be found on the cap top.

The pen's overall shape was inspired by the legendary Monorail system, while the colors are a reference to the original poster from Steamboat Willy (1920) which depicts Mickey Mouse. The cap features a lacquered multiplane camera which was popularized by Disney. The engraving on the platinum-coated cone of the 1901 commemorates Disney’s Snow White, with the technical specifications (1.33:1, 83 MIN) and the date and place of the world premiere (21/12/1937, LA).
