Montblanc M Ultra Black Fountain Pen

Montblanc M Ultra Black Fountain Pen was designed by Marc Newson,the most influential designer of his generation. The letter M stands for Newson’s first name as well as for Montblanc. Newson was born in Sydney, Australia on 20 October 1963 and was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2012 New Year Honours for services to design. 

This pen is made of black precious sandblasted resin finish with matte surface. A ring of orange color can be seen around the forepart paying tribute to Marc Newson's signature color. The clip is platinum plated with ruthenium coated inlay. The nib is hand-crafted in 14 K gold nib, rhodium-coated.

The cap with a magnetic snap mechanism smooths the closure and keeps the cap firmly in place and in perfect alignment with a white precious resin Montblanc emblem. An additional magnet is in the plateau for the cap to sit when posted..
