Curtis Limited Edition Lincoln Bicentennial Blue Fountain Pen

Abraham Lincoln was born in 1809, and to celebrate his 200th birthday,Curtis Australia created The Birth of Freedom, Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Pen.  It is a tribute to a man who some would consider as one of the greatest presidents, a man who had the foresight and wisdom to help form this great country as well as preserve it  during one of  its greatest internal crisis, the American Civil War .
Made of solid sterling silver and blue resin illustrates Lincoln as he appears at the Memorial in Washington. A broken chain refers to the abolition of slavery which became the thirteenth amendment in 1865.
Curtis Australia’s Lincoln Bicentennial is a unique opportunity for pen collectors. The original molds for the Lincoln pen were broken on July 4 2009, from this point no Lincoln pen can or will be made.
