Pensinasia - Fine Writing Instruments
Pensinasia is a collection of more than a decade of pens, fine writing instruments, and limited edition collectables. Caran d'Ache Limited Edition Caelograph Alpha 30N Fountain pen

 

The Caelograph features a chart of the sky that is delicately engraved on night blue Chinese lacquer impregnated with silver particles. It represents 51 constellations and 353 stars, observable from the Northern hemisphere.
The chart is mobile and allows you to specify the position of the stars at a given time. This amazing capability is made possible by a unique mechanism with high precision based on two rings. One of the two rings is movable and dedicated to time, while the other, fixed, indicates the month and day. Adjusting their location, the map is placed in turn on the time and date requested. A semi-transparent sleeve reveals the visible part of the sky, indicating the horizon, cardinal points and the zenith.
The Alpha version, coated in platinum, is limited to 120 fountain pens and 120 roller pens, a reference to the 12 constellations of the zodiac and the 12 months of the year.
