Human civilisations have always had a fascination for the stars and the four seasons.  Sailor is proud to announce this series of Limited Edition Maki-e Collections by the famous Kaga Maki-e artist Ikki Moroiki who by combining the Landscapes and Skyscapes of the night to represent the famous constellations overlooking the seasonal night landscapes
These designs are applied to the King of Pens Ebonite product and specially fitted with a 21K solid gold nib He created this masterpiece through the autumn red hue of the maple leaves with the constellations above and to the distant stars of the Milky Way. Also shown the design of the fruit and leaves of the Snake Gourd.

Polaris –The North Star is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor, and the 45th brightest star in the night sky.
Cassiopeia – This constellation was named after a vain Greek Queen. Remains one of the 88 modern constellations today  ‘W’ formation of the major stars is clearly visible with the Milky Way in the background.
