S T Dupont Limited Edition 140 Years Anniversary Elysee (Line D) Paris 1872 Yellow Gold Fountain Pen

S.T.Dupont launched a new bespoke edition named Paris 1872 as a tribute to the year the House was founded by Simon Tissot-Dupont.
The style of engraving on the Paris 1872 edition is inspired by the Garnier Opera House. Simon Tissot-Dupont was the official photographer of this architectural masterpiece commissioned by Napoleon III, before becoming trunk-maker to the élite of the day.
The result is a harmonious blend of timeless classicism with the designs of the Elysée and Ligne 2 ranges and the decorative, luxurious curves of Second Empire style. As a symbol of this union the lighter, available in palladium or yellow or pink gold, bears a crest with the House’s signature letter D at its centre.

EXCEPTIONAL ENGRAVING CRAFTSMANSHIP
In a tribute to French craftsmanship, items in the Paris 1872 edition are created in collaboration with Master Engraver Frédéric Krill. It takes no less than 35 hours to engrave the Ligne 2 lighter, while the Elysée fountain pen requires 25 hours of meticulous work. Patience and time are the cornerstones of this craft.
A LIMITED EDITION OF 1872 PIECES
Only 1872 lighters and fountain pens will be made for the Paris 1872 limited edition.
This new creation is a magnificent expression of S.T.Dupont’s attachment to the House’s heritage.
