Platinum Izumo Tamenuri Akatame Fountain Pen

 

 In the remote past, the pantheons of Japan gathered in IZUMO Taisha once a year (Izumo Taisha ; It is one of the most ancient and important Shinto shrines in Japan. Located In Izumo, Shimane Prefecture). IZUMO myths had a big influence on the structure of Japan where people were prospering. 出雲　IZUMO means the cloud is heavenward, in other words, progress and creation were prevanlent.
Platinum presents the Izumo fountain pen, artfully crafted in ebonite with Tame-nuri Urushi lacquering. The painstaking technique involves meticulous layering of translucent and colored lacquers performed by a traditional master craftsman. The Urushi lacquer finishes will increase in beauty over time, as the colors in Dark Red, Dark Green or Black become more vivid with age. The Izumo fountain pen has a warm feel in the hand and a wonderful 18K gold nib with gold-plated clip and trim.
