Pensinasia is a collection of more than a decade of pens, fine writing instruments, and limited edition collectables. Over the past years, I have painstakingly detailed and photographed each pen I have owned, recording down every minute detail within this website. If you are a pen lover like me, you will find Pensinasia to be your definite source of knowledge to fountain pens.

Namiki Capless Kagimonyou (Key Pattern Wave) Fountain Pen

Namiki launched two maki-e vanishing point fountain pens using the Hira maki-e technique. They are Kagimonyou (Key Pattern Wave) and Nanten (Heavenly Bamboo).

The name Kagimonyou means “Key Design” and signifies an omen of good fortune. The intricate gold pattern represents the key that would open a traditional storehouse where one would keep valuable possessions.

The artisan painted short straight line to create wave pattern.
The wave pattern is painted only at the center of the black capless fountain pen.
The artisan also paint the heavenly bamboo toward the center of the black vanishing point.
The Namiki logo no longer painted at the center.
