Close up
The Historia limited edition by
Montegrappa,
epitomizes how a writing instrument should perform and feel. It is
Montegrappa's foremost triumph in developing and producing the ideal line of
writing instruments.
It is also the most emotional development
for the Aquila family, owners of Montegrappa, as it unites its past and
present. It is a symbolic line for the company which over the past four
years re-tooled and focused on user-friendly, classic writing instruments
made of or embellished with precious metals. For the first time since 1946,
when a fire destroyed the company's entire celluloid stock, Montegrappa
again presents a standard range made of this choice material which produces
vivid colors, is light in weight and extremely durable.
Over two years ago when the idea was
conceived, Montegrappa set out to produce what they believe to be the ideal
pen.
After many changes along the way, the time
has arrived to be judged by the most demanding of writing instrument
connoisseurs.
It will perform flawlessly, is comfortable
to hold and trouble free. The trim and writing sections are made
entirely of sterling silver. The pen is fitted with Montegrappa's
signature clip characterized by its curvilinear shape and rolling ball.
The 18 karat
flexible gold nib, plated with platinum and tipped with iridium, is smooth
and responsive. Featuring an ebonite feed system, assuring smooth and
consistent flow, the pen accepts standard cartridges or use the included
converter for bottled ink.
