Unique, pearlized acrylic bodies are accented in sterling silver bands and clip. The modern resin, swirling in a storm resembles early celluloid in both colour and patterns. The edition number is found on the cap top, just below the encircling cap band. The trim is sterling silver, and the twin barrel rings are characteristic of Italian and French pens of the early twentieth century. The clip band on Perla bears the simple engraving Ancora Italia, the words separated by a jeweler's hallmark. . Perla comes in a very large presentation box with plush lining.
