RESIN
AND PEARL
Just look at the awesome Dragon with
a pearl in its mouth. Simply irresistible...isn't it?
My
Opinion....
In my opinion, this was one of the
best or rather the best Dragon pen I have seen so far. Moreover the clip is
solid gold with Pearl in its mouth.
Just by a simple logical calculation
and also taking the Solid Gold Imperial Dragon as a benchmark....this
Millennium Dragon 2000 fountain pen will be a great hit.
For those who have missed the
Imperial Dragon...you should take this opportunity to grab this. 2000 pcs
worldwide is not many considering that past collectors who own the Imperial
Dragon would want to have this too for their collection. I believe new
collectors who have missed the boat the last time would also like to acquire
this too. Hmmm ....yet another reason........whether you like it or not...Montblanc is still a
Montblanc. They have the largest pool of
faithful collectors.
As usual before I leave...here
are some texts from Montblanc for you to digest...
Text from Montblanc........
Montblanc’s
tribute
Living in an age where the pace of life is becoming
ever faster, it is the things that remain untouched by time which give us a
sense of stability. Things that allow us to savour the moment and help us to
appreciate what really matters in life.
With its tradition of producing fine hand-crafted
writing instruments, Montblanc has always felt committed to these lasting
values. Which is why Montblanc pays tribute to great artistic and cultural
achievements and to the contribution of special individuals with
corresponding Limited Editions. Now, Montblanc has been inspired by a
special occasion - the Year of the Golden Dragon in the Chinese calendar -
to honour the impressive contribution and achievements of Far Eastern
culture. The result is one of the exclusive Limited Editions that invariably
become coveted by collectors across the globe.
The
Design
Skillfully crafted in solid gold, a Dragon ‘clip’
adorns the cap of the 2000 Edition fountain pen. Twin rubies are set as the
fiery eyes of the Dragon, with a pearl caged in its mouth. The barrel of the
piston filling fountain pen is made of black resin. The 18-ct gold nib is
specially hand engraved with the Chinese "Year of the Dragon".
This Limited Edition comes in a special wooden lacquer box with the Chinese
sign "Dragon" on the lid.
